PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE YOU HAVE A FIREARM SHIPPED TO ME
If you find a firearm on the internet that you wish to purchase. The seller of this firearm must ship the firearm to a license's Federal Firearms Dealer such as myself.
They can not ship the firearm to directly to you.
You (the buyer) will need to contact a Federal Firearms Dealer in your area and ask if they are willing to accept the delivery of your purchase.
This local dealer will then need to send a copy of his or her FFL license to the shipper.
Most often you (the buyer) will pay for the firearm before it is shipped, and you will sometimes have to pay for a shipping fee.
Once your firearm arrives to your local FFL dealer, they will enter the firearm information into what is known as the A&D record books.
There is a fee for this service. Your local FFL dealer will charge between $30.00 and $50.00. This is a fee that you the buyer will need to pay your local FFL dealer.
I charge $25.00
Your local dealer will call you for pick up.
Your local dealer will make a copy of your drivers license and permit to purchase.
You will need to fill out a 4473 form.
Your dealer will then call the FBI for what is called a NICS check.
The FBI runs a background check on you.
PROCEED WITH TRANSFER
Most often the FBI will respond with a PROCEED - meaning the FFL dealer may transfer the firearm to the buyer.
If there is a DELAY the dealer can NOT transfer the Firearm until the FBI sends an approval. This could take 10 minutes or several days
NOTE: If the FBI informs the FFL dealer that you are denied. The FFL dealer can NOT transfer the firearm over to you.
You the buyer can contest this with the FBI, but not the FFL dealer.
Your dealer can hold this firearm or ship it back. It is up to the dealer.
